Hydrocarbons exploration company VAALCO Energy has unveiled plans to increase petroleum production in Egypt.
The company aims to expand activities in its concession areas in the Eastern and Western Desert while improving operational efficiency and reducing production costs using the latest technologies in the sector.
The announcement was made on August 8 during a meeting between the country’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and VAALCO Energy COO Thor Pruckl and the newly appointed Country Manager of Egypt Iman Hill.
During the meeting, Minister Badawi highlighted the government’s commitment to maintaining collaboration with international companies operating in Egypt while attracting new investments and intensifying research, exploration and development programs.
