Global oil and gas company TechnipFMC has been awarded a contract by Azule Energy – a joint venture between oil and gas supermajors, Eni and bp – to supply subsea production systems for the Block 18 Infills development, offshore Angola. Announced on 26 June, the contract will involve the mobilization of between $75 million and $250 million and will see TechnipFMC design and manufacture subsea trees, a manifold, subsea distribution equipment, topside controls and spearhead the engineering, procurement and supply of jumpers, flowlines, risers, and ancillary equipment.

“Our deep knowledge of the existing installed base was key to securing this contract, and we are delighted to be supplying subsea production systems to Azule Energy as we further develop our relationship with this client,” stated Jonathan Landes, President of TechnipFMC’s Subsea division.

The contract follows an announcement made in February that will see TechnipFMC provide a flexible pipe supply for Azule Energy’s Agogo Integrated West Hub Development. The existing layout of the field will be reconfigured to accommodate the new subsea production systems, which will then be connected to the Agogo facility through the flexible pipeline system.
