Nii Ahele brings over ten years of experience in Oil & Gas from both Oilfield Services and Management Consulting. Currently, he is a Snr. Associate in KPMG’s Oil and Gas Operations Advisory practice here in Houston. His recent focus has been in complex asset economic modeling, digital initiative prioritization, capital project transformations, energy trading risk & assessment. Typical clients range from the C-Suite to engineering teams at the supermajors and private equity-backed E&P companies.
Before his role at KPMG international, he held various positions at National Oilwell Varco with the Wellbore Technology Division. His oilfield career started in 2012, designing and qualifying electronics on projects for high shock, high pressure, and high-temperature downhole tool applications. His primary focus and expertise are downhole drilling tools for closed-loop automation. He earned his BS in Electronic Engineering from Minnesota State University and an MBA from Duke University with a concentration in Energy Finance.
In his free time, Nii Ahele organizes science fairs for middle school students in low-income areas in Houston and serves on a handful of non-profit boards in Houston.
