Aydar Shakirov, PhD, Head of Gas Market Analysis Department, Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Secretariat, has worked at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Secretariat since 2017: at the beginning as gas transportation and storage analyst and later as the head of the Gas Market Analysis Department. The principal mission of the Department consists of monitoring and analyzing gas market developments in the short term, with a special focus on gas supply and demand, energy policies, pipeline gas and LNG trade, gas transportation and storage, gas prices and pricing mechanisms, development of competing fuels. The Department is responsible for keeping informed GECF Member Countries on the latest developments on the gas market through regular reports and studies.
