Algeria’s National Oil Company (NOC) Sonatrach and its Congolese counterpart Société Nationale de Pétrole Congolaise (SNPC) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in maximizing their respective hydrocarbons value chains. Signed by Toufik HAKKAR, the CEO of Sonatrach and Maixent Raoul OMINGA, SNPC’s Managing Director – during a visit by an SNPC delegation at Sonatrach’s headquarters and facilities – the MoU paves the way for the NOCs to cooperate on exploration and marketing of hydrocarbons.

Sonatrach and SNPC will co-develop and run business cases and infrastructure with the aim to maximize the development, transportation, processing, distribution and supply of petroleum products.

The two NOCs will also embark on knowledge and expertise sharing as well as in various programs aimed at boosting the professional skills and training of SNPC staff.
