Algeria’s national oil company Sonatrach and energy major Chevron are deepening their collaboration on the responsible and sustainable development of hydrocarbon resources.
Sonatrach CEO Rachid Hachichi met with a Chevron delegation led by Liz Schwarze, Vice President of International Exploration, on September 16 to discuss ways to strengthen their partnership. The two companies also discussed strategies to unlock new opportunities across Algeria’s oil and gas sector.
The meeting follows a memorandum of understanding signed in June 2024 between Sonatrach and Chevron to jointly develop hydrocarbon resources in the Ahnet and Berkine basins.
