Already active in the country, SLB is looking at expanding its presence by channeling new investments into projects. According to Rizk, “SLB also intends to provide the latest solutions and technologies to contribute to the achievement of Algeria’s oil and gas targets.”

In addition to technology, the company will offer support for local content initiatives as well as startups across the country’s energy market.

During the meeting, Minister Arkab highlighted the significance of collaboration with SLB to enhance the adoption of digital solutions for sustainable development and the efficient management of Algeria’s oil and gas resources. The two parties also delved into prospective collaborations, including partnerships on emissions reduction solutions between SLB and Algeria’s National Oil Company Sonatrach.
