Global technology company SLB has inaugurated the Africa Performance Center. Situated in Luanda, Angola, the center supports the oil, gas and energy industries by offering access to innovative digital solutions – such as artificial intelligence (AI) – while facilitating capacity building and skills development.
The 3,200 ft² facility builds on SLB’s global network of interconnected and innovative performance centers to foster collaboration, innovation and human capital. With a focus on the digital and technological fields, the center aims to empower local talent while supporting Angola’s broader oil and gas production goals.
“This close collaborative approach, leveraging the latest technologies such as AI, will enhance customer performance and drive production, ultimately addressing Angola’s ambition to maintain production above one million barrels per day until 2030,” stated Miguel Baptista, Managing Director for SLB in Angola, Central and East Africa.
