Clean energy developer Shoals Technologies Group and renewable energy company UGT Renewables have signed an MoU to co-develop up to 12 GW of solar projects in emerging markets.
The projects will add to UGT Renewables’ current development pipeline, which includes two solar parks – with a combined capacity of 600 MW – in the southern provinces of Angola. The projects – set to begin deployment this year – are a result of a partnership between Shoals Technologies Group and UGT Renewables’ sister company, Sun Africa.
The collaboration between Shoals Technologies Group and UGT Renewables aims to bring electrical balance of systems solutions to emerging markets, supporting sustainable development and the global energy transition.
