RES4Africa Foundation welcomes GME among its members, paving the road for joint initiatives and collaboration. The new membership was approved and made official on February 14, during the last Executive Committee meeting.
Since 2012, the no-profit Foundation RES4Africa has been gathering members operating in all the segments of the renewable energy value chain, aiming at creating an enabling environment for green energy investments in the African continent. GME is a worldwide company with almost 30 years advising clients around the world in the public and private sphere, providing technical, economic and regulatory knowledge to accompany the energy transformation process of more than 50 countries worldwide.
Relying on a strong track record of experience in Africa and sharing the same vision about the pivotal role that renewable energy sources will play in its development, the two parties will combine their efforts through joint initiatives and activities for the promotion of RES, cooperating in providing strategic advice and support in transactional processes to governments, institutions and companies in the energy sector.
”Our network is delighted to welcome GME, one of the pioneers in global energy consultancy,” comments Roberto Vigotti, Secretary General of RES4Africa, “This new membership adds great value to our respective missions, ultimately aimed at scaling quality renewable investments across Africa to meet local energy needs.”
“This is a milestone for our company. We know that we can help create a more sustainable and inclusive energy future,” says Alejandro Arnau, GME’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our almost 30 years’ experience plus having participated in different energy reform processes and related technical, economic and regulatory activities, will add value to support society, governments, and the private sector in this process”.
