The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is launching a mission in Angola. Aimed at reinforcing and strengthening U.S.-Angola relations, the USAID mission signifies a strategic commitment by the U.S. to foster mutual cooperation across various sectors.
Launched by U.S. President Joe Biden during a presidential visit to Angola this week, the USAID mission is expected to deepen partnerships between Angola and the U.S., enabling greater investment by the U.S. in Angola’s economy.
USAID aims to support the objectives of Angola’s National Development Plan 2023-2027, which seeks to bolster economic development, reform, social cohesion and democracy. The plan also promotes the development of modernized infrastructure, human capacity and economic diversification.
