The National Oil Corporation of Libya (NOC), led by Chairman Farhat Bengdara, has pledged its full support for the Libya Energy & Economic Summit 2023, to be held in Tripoli on 8-9 November 2023.
NOC and its subsidiaries will attend and take part in panel discussions on matters such as finance, natural gas, oil production increases, and new technologies.
On the sidelines of the conference the NOC will meet with delegates to foster dialogue and dealmaking in Libya – North Africa’s energy powerhouse.
The summit takes place at a critical moment in Libya’s re-emergence, under the theme – A New Libya: Built on Energy. The NOC is instrumental in Libya’s future prospects and prosperity, and is the key actor in the oil and gas sector since 1970, partnering with international energy companies to produce over 1.2 million barrels of oil per day this year.
Oil and gas production in Libya, as well as an increasingly powerful renewable energy sector, is vital for the energy supply of the country and its neighbors, including regional countries such as Italy, France and Turkey. In light of recent deals – most notably Eni’s $8-billion deal with NOC for gas production signed in January – Libya’s position is strengthening as a global energy player and a focus for international investment.
The NOC has confirmed its strong participation in the second edition of the Libya Energy & Economic Summit, cementing the event’s standing as the most impactful event in the Libyan energy calendar. The Libya Energy & Economic Summit is where Libya’s energy future takes shape.
The Libya Energy & Economic Summit 2023 will be opened by Prime Minister Abdulhamid Al-Dbeibeh and will feature top level keynotes from key investors in Libya’s energy sector. Organizer Energy Capital & Power, together with the Office of the Prime Minister, the NOC, and other event partners, invite Libyan and international investors and project leaders to join the summit.
