Upstream mining and exploration company Madison Metals has been granted a license for nuclear fuels extraction by the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia. The license applies to the Company’s Mining Licence 86A (ML-86A), which covers the site of the Khan Copper Mine and a newly discovered high-grade uranium deposit.
“I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the Government of Namibia for supporting mining projects for the benefit of their citizens in a calculated and sustainable manner that provides further confidence to foreign investors,” Executive Chairman and CEO of Madison Metals Duane Parnham said.
The official authorization was dated August 1, 2024 and was received by Madison Metals on August 9, 2024.
