Libya’s Development and Reconstruction Fund has signed multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with French construction firms Veolia and Matier, alongside other international partners, to advance critical infrastructure projects across the country.
The agreements were formalized on November 27 in the presence of French Ambassador to Libya Mustafa Mihraje and the Fund’s General Manager, Al-Qasim Khalifa.
The MoU with Veolia focuses on constructing desalination plants in several Libyan cities to enhance access to clean drinking water. Meanwhile, the agreement with Matier includes plans to build two key bridges in Benghazi – the Jalaa Bridge and the Tripoli Road Bridge.
Additionally, the Fund signed an MoU with Business France to foster economic cooperation and secured agreements with Slovenian and French firms to provide technical expertise for steam stations and modern technology applications, respectively.
