Libya and Malta have held talks to enhance bilateral cooperation and expand partnerships in the oil, gas and energy sectors.
In a meeting on May 5, Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas Khalifa Abdelsadeq met with Malta’s Ambassador to Libya Charles Saliba to discuss mutual investment in hydrocarbons and energy infrastructure.
During the talks, Minister Abdelsadeq highlighted Libya’s ongoing licensing round – which offers 22 on and offshore blocks – as an avenue for exploration opportunities. Meanwhile, the Minister also underscored the country’s state-owned National Oil Corporation’s target to increase oil production capacity to two million barrels per day as a significant investment opportunity.
