Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Khalifa Abdulsadek, recently met with Italy’s Minister of Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto, to discuss strengthening collaboration in the energy sector.
The talks focused on expanding cooperation in training and scientific research to build local expertise, while encouraging greater investment from Italian companies in Libya’s oil, gas and renewable energy sectors. Both officials emphasized Libya’s strategic potential as a key energy supplier to Europe, leveraging its geographical proximity and natural resources.
Minister Abdulsadek highlighted the importance of developing Libya’s solar energy capacity and advancing natural gas projects to align with Europe’s growing demand for cleaner energy solutions.
