Energy Capital & Power – organizers of the Libya Energy & Economic Summit (LEES) – will host a Libya-Italy Roundtable session and VIP Networking Evening in Rome on September 23, launching next year’s edition of the summit and building upon the strong Libyan-Italian connection.
Organized in partnership with the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, and the endorsement of the Italian Trade Agency, the half-day event will bring together Libyan and Italian business leaders to forge new pathways to prosperity. The participation of several National Oil Corporation (NOC) subsidiaries is expected, as well as leading private sector companies from both countries.
An Oil and Gas Roundtable will kickstart the agenda, featuring leaders from Libyan and Italian energy firms to discuss current exploration and development prospects and establish Libya’s place on the global energy stage. A Power and Renewables Roundtable will follow, exploring partnership and investment opportunities between Libya and Italy in the realm of power generation, transmission and distribution, with a view to increasing renewable energy production and partnership with Europe.
Following the roundtables, attendees will enjoy a spectacular evening in the prestigious location of the Temple of Vibia Sabina and Hadrian of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, with presentations and keynote speeches from Libyan and Italian companies and government officials, followed by networking drinks.
The event will see the launch of next year’s edition of LEES, which serves as the premier international forum for private sector investment in the Libyan energy sector. Returning to Tripoli in 2025 for its third edition, the summit unites global investors, project developers and financiers with local stakeholders across critical areas of the Libyan economy. The summit is supported and endorsed by strategic partner the African Energy Chamber, and partners S&P Global Commodities Insights, AmCham Libya, Libyan British Business Council, Rystad Energy, Moore Global, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
