Al-Waha Oil Company – a joint venture between Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), TotalEnergies and ConocoPhillips – has increased its production by 40,000 barrels per day since October 2022, the NOC announced last week.
This boost is attributed to advanced technologies including Geosphere 3D and Long Reach drilling in the Al-Daffah field.
The implementation of these advanced drilling methods facilitated the drilling of the B220H horizontal well, featuring a horizontal section surpassing 2,000 feet.
Al-Waha aims to further enhance production by installing a submersible pump and a Variable Speed Drive production regulator.
Additionally, the technical teams at Al-Waha completed and tested the 6K5 development well in the Jallo field. At a depth of 11,000 feet, the well produces 4,000 bpd and two million cubic feet of natural gas.
