Ivory Coast to Renew Four Offshore Operating Licenses

The Ivory Coast has renewed operating licenses for four offshore oil and gas deposits in a bid to ensure sufficient national electricity production.

The Foxtrot, Mahi, Manta and Marlai oil and gas deposits – located block in block CI27 – will be exploited for an additional ten years to guarantee the constant supply of natural gas to the AZITO 4 and CIPREL 5 thermal power stations.oi

The Azito 4 thermal power plant has a capacity of 253 MW, consisting of a gas turbine of 180 MW and a steam turbine of 73 MW and the CIPREL 5 thermal power plant has an installed capacity of 390 MW with a production of approximately 2,876 GWh.
