MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021

Energy Capital & Power is proud to announce that, under the patronage of H.E. Macky Sall, President of Senegal, and in partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, COS Petrogaz, Petrosen and various US and Canadian energy industry associations, it will organize the first MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 conference and exhibition.

The event covers the entire region from Mauritania to Guinea, and also invites other important players in the region such as Algeria, Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire to hold talks with investor delegations from the United States, Australia, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The MSGBC region has had several world-class oil and gas discoveries over the last decade attracting major operators like BP, Total, Kosmos Energy, Woodside, Cairn Energy and FAR Ltd. Senegal has been the leading champion of the region’s energy industry, having seen BP reach, in 2019, a final investment decision on its first LNG project, Grand Tortue Ahmeyim, which is set to take off as the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The promise of significant gas revenues also prompted the implementation of a global gas-to-power framework aiming to fuel the region’s growing demand for energy, as well as opportunities for exports. A lower electricity price will boost the competitiveness of the local industry and provide greater opportunities for consumers. MSGBC Oil, Gas and Power 2021 will also highlight the growing importance of technology in the region’s energy industry.

MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 will create a national platform for constructive dialogue on natural resource management, investment and initiatives for enhancing the productivity and sustainability of the current power matrix.

Energy Capital & Power’s top priority remains to keep our people, partners, and clients safe. Therefore, the dates of our scheduled events are subject to change as we monitor the global progress of COVID-19.
