State-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), and Turkey’s state energy company, BOTAŞ have reached an agreement to collaborate on natural gas and LNG trading.
The agreement was signed during President Erdogan first visit to Egypt in over a decade.
The agreement focuses on a range of areas including natural gas and LNG trading opportunities, cooperation on natural gas infrastructure and underground storages, as well as the sharing of technical information and experience.
In June 2023, EGAS signed a MoU with Jordan’s National Electric Power Company to increase gas exports and maximize infrastructure. This new agreement demonstrates Egypt’s desire to strengthen energy cooperation with Middle Eastern countries.
