Africa’s largest refinery the Dangote Petroleum Refinery is enhancing its crude oil storage capacity with the construction of eight additional storage tanks.
With a combined capacity of 6.3 million barrels, the expansion project will expand the refinery’s total crude storage capacity by approximately 41%. This will increase the refinery’s storage capacity from the current 2.4 billion liters to 3.4 billion liters.
The additional storage will enhance the refinery’s operational flexibility, ensuring a consistent supply of crude oil and supporting its output of refined petroleum products for local and international markets.
