Greek-conglomerate Copelouzos Group, is seeking partners and investment opportunities within Egypt’s gas sector to contribute towards the growth of the country’s energy industry.
The Greek company highlighted interest to collaborate with Egyptian energy companies on gas trading, distribution, infrastructure projects and pipeline construction, during a meeting held between Dimitrios Ch. Copelouzo, the firm’s Chairperson and Tarek El-Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
The partnerships will be implemented via the firm’s subsidiary, Prometheus Gas, to enhance Egypt’s gas supply for both domestic consumption and export markets while expanding Copelouzos Group’s industry footprint.
El Molla emphasized Egypt’s ongoing initiatives to advance research and exploration, aiming to increase gas reserves and production in line with efforts to accelerate industrialization, during the discussion.
