Independent oil and gas producer Azule Energy has awarded two subsea contracts for works associated with the Ndungu oilfield development, located 130km offshore Angola. The contracts were awarded to engineering firm Aker Solutions and technology service provider TechnipFMC.

Aker Solutions will provide eight infield umbilicals measuring 25km in length for the project. Spare umbilicals will also be supplied. The company will commence work immediately, with the project execution, engineering and manufacturing conducted at the firm’s facility in Norway.

Delivery is slated for Q4 next year and the contract is estimated to measure between $48.6 million and $145.9 million.

The second contract, awarded to TechnipFMC, will see the technology provider supply flexible pipe for the project. This will enable Azule Energy to tie the Ndungu project into the Block 15/06 West Hub – a deepwater block located in the Lower Congo Basin.

The contract is estimated to measure between $75 million and $250 million.

Both Aker Solutions and TechnipFMC secured contracts for Azule Energy’s Agogo Field Development earlier this year.
