A delegation from Argentina comprising some 25 companies will visit Angola from the June 22-23 to explore investment opportunities within the southern African country, Alejandro Verdier, the Argentine Ambassador in Angola has confirmed.
Involved in the production of medicines and agricultural machinery and products such as maize and wheat, the companies are targeting opportunities in Angola’s manufacturing sector with the aim to accelerate the country’s diversification of the economy while exploiting associated prospects, stated the ambassador.
In addition to the announcement, H.E Verdier urged Angola to maximize the exploitation of its fertile and arable land as well as partnerships with Argentine firms to boost technology and farming expertise for the growth of the country’s agriculture industry to support local food needs and for exports.
The development comes at a time Angola and Argentina are trading about $200 million worth of goods and services per annum.
