London-listed mining company Arc Minerals has completed the first phase of its drilling campaign at the Virgo Project located within the Central Structural Corridor of Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt.
The exploration program involved the drilling of eight holes covering 3,023 total meters, utilizing both Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling methods. Arc Minerals has sent 562 kilograms of rock samples for analysis to ALS Global in Johannesburg, with results expected by the end of October 2024.
“I am very pleased with progress made at our Botswana licence and look forward to providing shareholders with a more comprehensive update once we receive the assay results,” said Nick von Schirnding, Executive Chairman of Arc Minerals.
Following the successful completion of the first phase, Arc Minerals has now shifted drilling activities to a second license, PL162/2017. The new drilling phase is expected to include six holes initially, with potential for additional drilling based on core observations.
