Under its privatization program that sees the divestment of non-core state assets, Angola’s Sonangol has announced the construction of a scientific research, technology and innovation center in 2021.
The center will seek to ensure knowledge acquisition and technology transfer for the oil company by identifying strategic projects for development.
It will also house several other institutions, including advanced education, professional training and business incubators.
The center is part of a joint initiative by Angola’s Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, the National Agency of Oil, Gas and Biofuels and multinational operators, including Norwegian energy firm Equinor.
