Angola recorded 1,39 million barrels of oil per day in February – up 15,000 barrels per day in January – according to a monthly report published by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) this week.
The released figures are based on data from secondary sources and indicate a rise in daily production during February 2020, following a decline of 23,000 barrels between December 2019 and January 2020.
According to the report, Angola produced 1,387 million barrels per day in February, 27,000 barrels less than the previous month. Angola has retained its position as the second largest African crude oil producer in OPEC, after Nigeria.
Nigeria, Africa’s largest oil producer, saw its average output grow to 1,789 million barrels per day, up 29,000 barrels from 1,760 million barrels in January.
