Angola and Timor Leste signed three agreements to enhance diplomatic cooperation and professional exchange, during a visit to Luanda by José Ramos-Horta, the President of Timor Leste, this week.
The agreements include a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral political consultations between the Foreign Affairs Ministries of both nations. Angola’s Venancio de Moura Diplomatic Academy and Timor Leste’s Center for Diplomatic Studies reached an agreement to share knowledge and expertise.
The two countries agreed to exempt visas for diplomatic and service passports. Angola and Timor Leste are members of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries and have maintained diplomatic relations since 2002.
