- Four roadshows will be held in Luanda (August 27), Dubai (September 10), Beijing (September 16) and London (September 20).

- The public tender complements Angola’s six-year oil and gas licensing round that also commences this year.
Luanda, Angola, August 27 – Promoting five mining concessions available for public tender, Angola’s Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum (MIREMPET) has kicked off a month of roadshows in Luanda, Dubai, Beijing, and London from August 27 to September 20.
The roadshows follow the pre-announcement in July of a public tender to grant mineral rights for the exploration and mining of two diamond concessions in the Angolan provinces of Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul; one iron concession in Kwanza Norte, and two phosphate concessions in Cabinda and Zaire.
Opened by H.E. Minister Diamantino Azevedo, the technical presentation in Luanda will also present the opportunity for potential investors to conduct private meetings with ENDIAMA, the national diamond company, and MIREMPET.
In addition to attracting outside investment to Angola’s available acreage, the public tender serves to establish a more streamlined and transparent concessions award and management process.
Roadshows will remain open to the public, with national and foreign companies, embassies, banks, commerce and industry chambers, professional associations and other entities interested in the mining concessions invited to participate.
