Agence Nationale pour les Énergies Renouvelables (ANER), Director General Djiby Ndiaye has been confirmed as a speaker at the MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 Conference and Exhibition taking place on 16-17 November at the Centre International de Conférence Abdou Diouf (CICAD) in Diamniadio.
ANER’s mandate is to promote the integration of renewable energy across all sectors of activity in Senegal. More specifically, the agency focuses on designing policies, legislative and regulatory frameworks to push for the large-scale adoption of renewable energies and identifying financially viable renewable energy projects and fast-track their development.
ANER’s latest projects include the installation of more than 115000 solar-powered streetlamps across Senegal as well as the organization of workshops for financial institutions and project developers to raise awareness of the country’s demand of and potential for lucrative renewable energy projects.
Djiby Ndiaye has been at the helm of ANER for almost ten years and holds a diploma in Electromechanical Engineering from the École Polytechnique of Thiès in Senegal as well as a postgraduate diploma in Administration and Business Management.
