Algeria’s national gas company Sonelgaz signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state-owned manufacturing group Elec-El Djazaïr to boost the local production of electrical equipment.
Signed on September 2, the MoU aligns with national policy to support activities related to Algeria’s industrial zones and the agriculture sector. Through the supply of electrical equipment, Sonelgaz will be better-positioned to support these sectors.
Sonelgaz CEO Mourad Adjal highlighted that this agreement will enable the company to connect remote regions while also improving public services across the country.
