Algeria’s Minister of Energy and Mining Mohamed Arkab met with South Korea’s Ambassador to Algeria You Ki-Jun to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy and mining.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed opportunities for investment and partnerships in engineering, power generation and hydrocarbons production and processing. The discussions also explored opportunities for cooperation in solar energy, green hydrogen development and energy storage technologies.
With aims to identify new areas for cooperation and investment, the talks also focused on expanding collaboration in Algeria’s mining sector, with specific focus on the development of strategic minerals essential for the energy transition.
