Foreign ministers from Algeria and Oman recently met to explore new investment opportunities in the energy, renewables and petrochemicals space.
During the 8th Algerian-Omani Joint Commission in Algiers earlier this month, Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf and his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi expressed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
As part of the session, Algeria’s Minister of Energy Mohamed Arkab also met with Omani company Abraj Energy Services to discuss enhanced cooperation in the fields of exploration and production, petrochemicals, crude oil marketing, LNG and new renewable energies, including green hydrogen.
Abraj Energy Services signed an MOU with Algeria’s state-owned Sonatrach last April targeting oil and gas industry cooperation, including exploration, development, well maintenance and associated services.
