The National Petroleum Works Company (ENTP), a Sonatrach subsidiary, and National Oil Wells Drilling & Workover Company (NWD), a National Oil Corporation (NOC) subsidiary, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in drilling and workover services. ENTP will provide rigs, maintenance and training to NWD under the agreement.
The MoU was signed during a NOC delegation visit to Algeria from July 29 to 31. Sonatrach and NOC subsidiaries will explore collaboration in drilling, geophysics, well intervention, stimulation and construction.
In January 2024, the CEOs of Sonatrach and NOC had previously signed an agreement to enhance their partnership in oil and gas exploration and development, renewable energy projects, oilfield services, as well as training, experience exchange and knowledge transfer.
