The African Development Bank (AfDB) currently has 39 projects totaling a commitment of $2.7 billion in Senegal within its active portfolio.
According to Yann Ilboudo, manager of AfDB’s Senegalese portfolio, 30% of the projects financed by the bank are in the transport sector, 20% in agriculture and 15% in the financial sector, with the remaining projects distributed across energy, water and healthcare sectors.
“If disbursements are made on time for these projects, it will be beneficial for Senegal and its population,” noted Ilboudo.
