The power generation subsidiary of Southern Utilities Limited, a member of LMI Holdings, Helius Power Company, intends to construct and operate a rooftop solar power plant in the Tema Free Zones Enclave, in Ghana, West Africa.
The plant will be approximately 12MW, located on 92,000m2 roof space of Mega Warehouse, which is owned by the International Warehouse Company, a subsidiary of LMI Holdings.
In addition to the secured financing from various sources, Helius Power Company has invited contractors to submit proposals for pre-qualification for the implementation of the Enclave Solar Power Project.
Pre-qualification is open to all eligible applicants and will be conducted through internationally accepted guidelines and practices.
Successful contractors will be able to get involved in the manufacturing, installation process, testing, commissioning and bringing into commercial operation of the Rooftop Solar Power PV plant, if they meet the necessary requirements.
